“Time lapse movie shot at Mt Bromo volcano, Java, Indonesia. In this country with most volcanos in the world, none is as scenic and popular as Mt Bromo. It is visited by hundreds of people, mostly Indonesians, every single day. The most popular activities here are watching Mt Bromo at sunrise (weather doesn’t allow good sunsets) and walking up to the crater’s edge. Most people only spent a day or two here. But for me Mt Bromo was the perfect location for my TimeScapes Project. In TimeScapes I aim to capture and time ánd light in photos and video.
Besides that project I also created this ‘regular’ time lapse in which I show Mt Bromo throughout the whole day from almost every angle and viewpoint. Mt Bromo is an active volcano, smoke comes out of it almost non stop and you can hear it rumble constantly. Eruptions regularly occur, but never with lava, it’s mostly smoke and ashes. You can often smell the sulphur.
