Frieden – A timelapse short film

“I am proud and happy to present my very first timelapse project, “Frieden”.

In the summer of 2016 I had the awesome privilege to travel within a small part of the Northern Limestone Alps, throughout four distinctive groups of mountains in both Germany and Austria: the Bavarian Prealps, Karwendel National Park, Ammergau and Wetterstein.
Doing this whole trip only by bike and backpack, with 19 nights of camping under the stars, daily walks above the clouds and along crystal clear glacial lakes has truly been a memorable experience.
The name “Frieden” (in German) means “Peace”, and it represents the feeling I had throughout this journey and the idea behind this short film.

This first project also has sentimental value.
My grandparents played a very important role onto my travel oriented mind, and as my grandfather passed away in March 2016, I considered that the work I put into this aswell as the result could be the best way to honor his memory.
